About GOQ
Garden of Queerdom (GOQ) is an artist-led, on and offline space for queer care through community and earth connection.
With Garden of Queerdom, we want to create space for earth loving queers to feel good together, and to be part of an ecosystem of care.
Our work builds on social justice principles and the importance of building community care circles in a challenging world.
“The Garden” as both a metaphor and a physical space is a place where we belong. Where we are all a part of the beautiful flowers and tiny bugs, where the soil carries our tired feet and the grass holds our bodies and softens our minds.
Because the garden is queer as can be.
About us
Garden of Queerdom is led by Latoyah Burlace & Mandy van Pelt, both neurodivergent, social makers and multidisciplinary artists.
Latoyah is a social designer, photographer and herbal crafter whose work is a mixture of visual design, wild/earth crafting and community building practices.
Mandy is a crafter, printmaker and tattoo artist who is currently obsessed with carving lino stamps and observing the fungi world.
Together they form a little queer family in Rotterdam with their dog Otje and cat Luna.
